Your licence key is on its way to your inbox — usually arrives within a minute. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. The instructions below will get b-trim installed in three minutes.
Install b-trim
macOS only, Adobe Premiere Pro 26 or later.
Download & open the installer
You'll get a .dmg — double-click it, then double-click the b-trim-installer.pkg inside the mounted disk image.
Approve the installer in System Settings
The first time you run it, macOS will say "b-trim-installer.pkg can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." Click Done to dismiss, then:
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
- Scroll to the bottom — you'll see "b-trim-installer.pkg was blocked to protect your Mac."
- Click Open Anyway next to it
- Authenticate with Touch ID / your password
- The installer launches. macOS only asks once.
Why this is needed: b-trim is in the middle of getting an Apple developer signature. Once Apple finishes that review, the warning goes away and you can just double-click the installer. Until then, the System Settings approval is the workaround.
Click through the installer
Authenticate with your Mac password when asked. The installer drops the engine in /Applications and auto-launches Adobe Creative Cloud to install the Premiere panel — just accept that prompt when it appears.
Open Premiere → Window → Extensions → b-trim
Paste the license key from your purchase email into the activation screen. That's it — select clips and hit Trim.
